About

Elijah

I'm Elijah, a freediver and photographer born and raised on Kauai.

My love for photography started as a love for the ocean, growing up exploring the unique reefs and marine life around Kauai. As I grew older, my fascination with the underwater world only deepened.

In 2013, I took my first freediving course with Kurt Chambers, a renowned deep diver in the USA, which eventually lead me into the sport of competitive freediving.

In 2019, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Xibalba Freediving Competition in Mexico, marking my first international event. It was there that I achieved the title of the first national record holder for the constant weight bi-fins discipline, reaching 78 meters (255ft).

It was around this time that I invested in my first camera and began documenting my dives-- taking photos of all the interesting wildlife, coral and seascapes.

I am excited to be honing my skills in both underwater photography and brand photography, working alongside my partner, Marley.
